Abstract: What is built brick by brick may get destroyed by drop by drop leakage and seepage of water in buildings. Utmost care is required to be taken during planning, construction and subsequent maintenance of buildings to ensure leakage and seepage free interiors and exteriors during their life time. Literature, specially dedicated to design and construction aspects leading to leakage and seepage free buildings, has been wanting. Present book not only brings out expectations of users from the buildings but also systematically deals with all methodologies and steps that lead to user-friendly buildings which are free from leakages and seepages. Subject matter has been dealt in a very professional manner with extensive illustrations so as to make adaption of suggested methods simple and easy. Better quality, comforts and aesthetics are obtained at no extra cost. The book is intended to serve all professionals in construction industry like architects, engineers, students and builders as well as users.

Er. Krishna Kant is a Civil Engineer with vast experience of over 40 years in India and abroad. He completed his B. Tech from IIT Madras in 1967 and M. Tech from IIT Delhi after that he joined CPWD as Class - I officer. As Chief Engineer CPWD; he was responsible for maintenance and upkeep of most important and sensitive government buildings in the capital of India. He has also completed post graduate diploma in Housing and Urbanisation from School of Architecture, Copenhagen, Denmark. Author has worked with World Health Organisation as an Expert in Geneva and later as WHO & ILO Consultant. He also worked with ACE International, a consulting Firm in UAE; Chief Executive of Era Landmarks - a well known Delhi-based Real Estate Company and then as President Technical of Omaxe Ltd., a major real estate company. The author is a Fellow/Member of many professional bodies and serves as member of Technical Committees of BIS, IBC and IRC. He has published a number of technical papers and two comprehensive books on housekeeping and building maintenance.
