Alessandro Brambilla Full Professor of chemical engineering at the University of Pisa, has been consulting in process control and optimization in the process industry for more than 30 years. He was head of the Chemical Engineering Department and director of the Chemical Engineering Program and Ph.D. courses at the University of Pisa. Professor Brambilla was also a visiting professor at the University of California–Davis and at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is senior partner at ALPHA Process Control, where he supervises the implementation of advanced process control applications to refining and petrochemical processes. Professor Brambilla still teaches many training courses to engineers in the refining and petrochemical industries.
