AcknowledgmentsIt is impossible to remember or acknowledge all the people who have contributed to my education over these ninety-odd years. My father taught me the sheet metal trade. The faculty at Iowa State University gave me good theoretical training. All the people I’ve dealt with in my work experience have helped—other engineers, contractors, manufacturer’s representatives, clients. I still remember the owner who took pity on a poor apprentice and taught me how to properly file a screwdriver tip.
