Pramod Jain, Ph.D. is founder and president of Innovative Wind Energy, Inc., a wind energy consulting company. He is recognized as a global expert in the planning of wind projects and has worked on projects in the United States, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mongolia, Indonesia, Lebanon, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka that range from a single 100-kW turbine to a 100+-MW wind farm. He has worked for a variety of clients including Fortune 100 companies, the U.S. government, Asian Development Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, UNDP, USAID, universities, utilities, municipalities, and land developers. He was cofounder and chief technologist of Wind Energy Consulting and Contracting, Inc. He has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley; an M.S. from the University of Kentucky, Lexington; and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
