10101031030700A Model of the Cardiorespiratory SystemIn this chapter we present a framework for modeling projects in cardiorespiratory physiology. Qualitative requirements for our model of the whole cardiorespiratory system include simulation of a number of clinically monitored physiologic variables, and simulation of appropriate reactions to the administration of fluid and to re-breathing of carbon dioxide.
