1011302The Kingdom ProtistaThe kingdom Protista includes all the eukaryotic unicellular species. Some of these organisms are animal-like (protozoans), others resemble plants (algal protists), and still others demonstrate the characteristics of fungi. Some taxonomists include colonial forms and simple multicellular forms in this kingdom because they are more closely related to protists than to the other three multicellular kingdoms.
